As a Duty Manager you will be supported by the General Manager on site as well as our extensive management support team based in York, who can provide you with knowledge and expertise to help you develop your area of the business.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about building a career in the tourism industry, with a focus on catering or guest experience. This role will offer the right candidate the opportunity to lead a small, close-knit team to deliver exceptional customer service and work with us to deliver our catering and guest experience offer. The Duty Manager will support the General Manager in team leadership and development and be passionate about bringing out the best in the team.

You will have a proven track record of delivering results and will also require a sound understanding of financial procedures and practices and effective management of budgets and people.

Working in the historic Oxford Castle Quarter, you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the success of a heritage site that has a history of over 1,000 years. You will be a part of the site duty management team, contributing to the delivery of a five-star visitor experience.

The role of Duty Manager is a challenging and enjoyable role that will allow the right person to develop their skills and expertise in an exciting, fast-paced and unique heritage environment.

The right person for this role will have a strong work ethic, enthusiasm and a desire to develop within the business. While they may not have every skill listed in the job specification, a willingness to learn and be a proactive member of our team is crucial.
