Imagine Exhibitions has teamed up with Universal to develop a touring exhibition based on the Jurassic World franchise, debuting in Australia’s Melbourne Museum ahead of a worldwide tour in 2016.

Currently under development, ‘Jurassic World: The Exhibition’ will feature a selection of full-size animatronic dinosaurs, which will be brought to life across a selection of immersive sets inspired by the latest film in the series.

Making sure attention to detail is accurate, paleontologist Jack Horner, who also served as a paleontological advisor for Jurassic World, is working with the development team to create interactive educational elements, to teach visitors about the prehistoric creatures.

Creature Technology Company (CTC), known for its awe-inspiring animal animatronics in arena and stage shows, is developing the robotic dinosaurs, something the technology firm has a background in having previously worked on the arena show version of Walking with Dinosaurs.

“This promises to be a touring exhibition unlike any before it, bringing together players who are the absolute best in their fields,” said Vince Klaseus, president of Brand Development at NBCUniversal.

“Combining Imagine Exhibitions’ expertise in the design and implementation of global travelling exhibitions with the state-of-the-art animatronics provided by CTC, and our team’s brand stewardship and creative thinking, Jurassic World: The Exhibition will deliver a ground-breaking and awe-inspiring guest experience.”
