The Ulyanovsk Indoor Waterpark is the largest waterpark in the Volga region of Russia |
|
The Ulyanovsk Indoor Waterpark claims to have received unanimously positive reviews since its opening in December last year.
The two-level aquatic centre is the largest in Russia’s Volga region. It extends over 12,500 sq m (134,548 sq ft) and offers ‘an exciting adventure’ for its guests.
The park features three swimming pools, including a wave pool, a sauna complex and several Polin waterslides, including Looping Rocket, one of Polin’s most popular attractions.
Other waterslides at the park include: Space Hole, Sphere, Black Hole, Space Boat and Body Slide.
Space Hole is a speed ride. Guests travel through an enclosed tube before dropping into an open bowl where they are whirled around by centrifugal force, before splashing into a pool below. The Sphere is a raft ride that sends riders in pairs down a steep drop, into the sphere where water jets buffet them from side to side.
Aquatube spans several stories and sends its riders down a 75 m ( 246 ft) path. The Black Hole is a half closed slide that features Polin’s Natural Light Effects technology. It uses natural light to create visual designs throughout the ride.
Space Boat is one of Polin’s most popular extreme rides and is a combination of both Black Hole and Space Hole. Guests are sent on a high-speed journey down an enclosed tube through a swirling vortex with a number of twists and turns, into an open bowl. Looping Rocket features a unique ‘launch capsule’ that sends rides through a trap door into a 360-degree loop.
For younger riders Polin installed an interactive Pirate Ship, a pirate themed play centre with different coloured waterslides, and a number of smaller attractions including: Rabbit Slide, Mushroom, Baby Octopus slide, Mini Elephant fountain and Mini Rainbow slide.

Small Footprint, Big Significance: Studio City Water Park |
|
Long known for its fancy casinos, Macau realized within the past decade that it must
diversify its tourism scene to attract new crowds. With the ambition of becoming the
leisure hub of China’s 72-million strong Greater Bay Area, the city began adding shows,
attractions, and family-friendly hotels. But the offering that truly stands out with fun
for everyone is Studio City Water Park – Macau’s first stand-alone water park, with all
the water slides and aquatic play structures supplied by WhiteWater. |

How surf simulators are transforming the experience economy |
|
The experience economy, driven by evolving consumer trends, is poised for continued growth
in the coming years. Millennials have been at the forefront of this shift, favouring
memorable experiences over material possessions. This preference has extended to other
generations as well, indicating a broader adoption of experience-focused spending habits
in the attractions sector. |
